I am a current subscriber to Dish Network. Currently I have the single tuner DVR on one TV and a regular receiver in another. I would like to upgrade to the DVR 625 dual tuner, multiple TVs, but have a few questions.
First, how exactly would it work on two TVs. It states that it works with common household wiring. With the DVR in one room how does the signal get to the second TV? I have the box outside the house in which the signal comes in from the dish. Single cables then go into different locations in the house. If I have a single cable going from the box to my living room do I need to run another cable from my living room to the bedroom where the second TV is located?
Second, I am wondering how the on screen functionality works for recorded programs. Right now I have about 20 episodes of Sesame Street recorded for my 1 year old and the same number of Jeff Corwin episodes recorded for my 4 year old. Whenever I want to get to one of my programs I have to scroll through 40 other programs before I can get to the one I'm looking for. My current DVR has a limited function where you can sort by name or by date. I saw how Tivo 'groups' episodes of the same program by name and then opens a submenu with all the episodes for that group. I was hoping the DVR 625 incorporates the same sort of grouping that Tivo uses? Does anyone know the answer to this?
