I just got this phone last week and it is just plain AMAZING! Still trying to get used to the swipe keyboard but without even reading the manual I figured out how to do just about everything on it, and this is my first android phone. It makes my old Blackberry Curve seem like a dinosaur. Battery life is 'okay', but to extend it further, I turn off WiFi, GPS, and 4G when I don't need them.

This phone is plain fantastic. I had an epic 4g before this, and I was looking to upgrade. I was reading a review here and there, but basically hadn't done much searching. I had seen the phone, but once I got it and actually started using it, MAN! I am blown away! I've had the HTC Touch, the HTC Evo, The Samsung Epic 4g, and now the Touch and WOWEE! Man, the screen is just flippin fantastic, and surprisingly the battery isnt bad (much better than its predecessor, the Epic 4g) I usually use it moderatly (emails throughout day, facebook some during the day, pictures here and ther, about 1 hour or more of call time, and plenty of texting) and I find as long as I charge it about 8pm (on my way home from work) that i never dip below 10%. I did turn sync on manual and dont run around with bluetooth or gps on, but honestly..what really got me was just how smooth this phone was. No lag in sight, it's fantastic. I am not a huge fan of touchwiz, but I will say TW4 is much better than earlier editions, and the motion actions (zoom and move screen) are a nice touch, I think samsung has hit a real home run with this one. (also 16gb of int storage is nice, with a 16gb sd card, heck, that's all i need. ) .. I will say though, the speaker can get to a point of loudness where the sound quality really suffers (the speaker-phone) but it's minor so I'd still give it a 9/10 overall.
Also, the white version of this is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!

Well, I've been using an EVO for about two years, and is is time to upgrade, but this is the same exact resolution, so.. why upgrade to this. Otherwise, I'm pretty impressed with the specs. Sprint really doesn't have an impressive selection of phones that could be considered an upgrade from the EVO.

Wow, this phone has been great for me and mine never overheats! It's fast and all my apps run smoothly. The camera is darn good, too, and the camera apps make its camera even better! Get the Sprint version - IMHO, it's the nicest looking of the 3 carriers versions, and with Sprint I good service, no dropped calls and easy customer service. I just love my Samsung Galaxy SII Epic 4G Touch d710!!

I hated the epic...it overheats and gets slow after like a week..the battery life is ok..the gorilla glass it is supposed to have sucks. I would not waste my money on this phone again..they should remove it from the market, its terrible.

Legna13, 07 Sep 2011Can anyone tell me what's better? is it samsung s II or LG optimus 2x is better? then why so?The Samsung Galaxy S ll will be much better, it has specs that are a full year newer. For example, it's camera catches at 1080p@30 FPS while LG Optimus 2X only catches at 1080p@24 FPS.

This phone has the exynos processor and orion chipset, while the other ones have exynos chipsets and different processors. I have heard good things about exynos, and frankly, wish this was 100% exynos.. I would have paid the higher price tag, but now I dont know.. I may hold out on getting a new phone until next year. I hear with contract this phone is $200 from sprint, but honestly I just want the european one
