What’s in the Box?
Let’s start off with a video unboxing and then move on from there:
The package for the Talk n’ Walk headphones is nice looking actually and it has a window on it to see them. On the back you’ll find plenty of information listed as well.
Once unpack everything you’ll find the user guide, headphones and a microUSB cable.
The Bluetooth Talk n’ Walk headphones I got are a neon green and black in color but you can get other colors. They’re very lightweight and they seem to be made well, honestly they do seem a bit on the ‘cheap’ side.
On the side of the right earpiece is the on/off switch, it just slides.
On the bottom of the right earphone you’ll find the 3.5mm audio jack and the microphone.
On the outside of the right earpiece is the control panel which has button for play/pause, volume up and down and skip tracks forward and back. The play/pause button is also used for answering and ending calls.
Tucked up behind the hinge of the right earpiece is the microUSB port for charging the Talk n’ Walk headphones.
Both of the earpieces are padded well, it’s soft and a faux leather.
The top headband is just solid plastic, there’s no padding at all but they are adjustable.
Impressions / Review:
On the right earpiece is also an LED below the controls, it turns red when charging and green for Bluetooth pairing.
To test the Bluetooth function I used the headphones with my PS Vita and HTC One M7 cellphone.
I also dug up a 3.5mm audio cable for further testing.
When I plugged the cable in there was no sound, it turns out you actually have to power them on to use them with an audio cable which just doesn’t make sense to me at all. I don’t understand why you have to power them on to use the audio cable. I could see if there was active noise cancellation or something like that but there isn’t.
Controls:
The controls worked fine with the HTC One, all of the functions worked as they should.
One thing to note, the volume control is for the volume of the headphones and not your device.
Sound Quality:
Overall the sound quality is just fair, it’s not bad but it’s not great either. There is a decent amount of bass and some treble in them, but the sound is just plain or bland and kind of hollow.
They have virtually no noise cancellation so unless you turn them up very loud you can easily hear outside noises.
Comfort:
The headband has no padding on it at all so it’s not quite what I would call comfortable on the head.
The padding on the earpieces is nice and soft and comfortable once you get them on.
When I first put them on they just didn’t feel right, I had to twist and move them around until they fit better.
Conclusion:
Ok, for the price these aren’t bad, but you get what you pay for as it were. In other words, these aren’t that good but they’re not that bad either.
The Bluetooth Talk n’ Walk headphones are not a bad choice if you don’t have a lot of money to spend, they offer decent sound quality for the price.
Honestly these aren’t the greatest headphones, the headband is hard and not quite comfortable but the earpads are anyway.
The Bluetooth function works fine as do the controls with those devices I tried them with.
You can use them with any audio thanks to the audio jack but sadly they don’t include an audio cable so you’ll have to buy one.
Overall I’m not sure about these. For kids they would be fine, in fact I’m giving them to my kids to mess with, for me I’ll stick with something that costs quite a bit more…

- Getting started
A Bluetooth Smart heart rate sensor or a mobile device (smartphone, tablet) has to be paired with your M200 for them to function together. Pairing only takes a few seconds and ensures that your M200 receives signals from your sensors and devices only and allows disturbance-free training in a group. Before entering an event or race, make sure that you do the pairing at home to prevent interference from other devices.
Pair a mobile device with your M200
If you've done the setup for your M200 with a mobile device, your M200 has already been paired. If you did the setup with a computer and would like to use your M200 with Polar Flow app, please pair your M200 and mobile as follows:
Before pairing a mobile device:
- Do the setup at flow.polar.com/start as described in chapter Set up your M200.
- Download the Flow app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Make sure your mobile device has Bluetooth turned on and airplane mode/flight mode is off.
Please note that you have to do the pairing in the Flow app and NOT in your mobile device's Bluetooth settings.

To pair a mobile device:
- On your mobile device, open the Flow app and sign in with the Polar account that you created when you set up your M200.
- On the M200, press and hold the LEFT button.
OR
On the M200, go to Settings > Pair & sync > Pair & sync devices, and press and hold the RIGHT button. - Touch your device with M200 is displayed. Touch the mobile device with your M200.
- Pairing is displayed on the M200.
- Android users: You'll get a pairing request on your mobile. You might have to open it by swiping down from the top of the screen and by tapping the notification. Then tap PAIR.
- Confirm on other dev. xxxxx is displayed on your M200. Enter the pin code from the M200 to the pairing request on the mobile device, and tap Pair/OK.
- Android users: You might have to open the pairing request by swiping down from the top of the screen and by tapping the notification.
- You'll see Pairing on your M200, and if the pairing is succesful, it will move on to Syncing with your mobile device.
Pair a Heart Rate Sensor with your M200
When you're wearing a Polar Bluetooth Smart heart rate sensor that's paired with your M200, the M200 does not measure heart rate from the wrist.
There are two ways to pair a heart rate sensor with your M200:
- Wear the moistened heart rate sensor as instructed in the heart rate sensor user manual.
- On the M200, go to Settings > Pair & sync > Pair & sync devices, and press and hold the RIGHT button.
- Touch the heart rate sensor with your M200.
- Pairing is shown during pairing and Completed is shown after the pairing is done.
OR
- Wear the heart rate sensor as instructed in the heart rate sensor user manual.
- Start a training session as described in chapter Start training.
- Touch the heart rate sensor with your M200.
- You'll be prompted to pair your M200 with your heart rate sensor. You'll see, for example, Pair Polar H7... Accept the pairing request by pressing the RIGHT button.
- Pairing is shown during pairing and Completed is shown after the pairing is done.
Pair a Polar Balance Scale with your M200
There are two ways to pair a Polar Balance scale with your M200:
- Step on the scale. The display shows your weight.
- After a beep sound, the Bluetooth icon on the scale display starts flashing, meaning that the connection is now on. The scale is ready to be paired with your M200.
- Press and hold the LEFT button on your M200. Searching is displayed on the M200.
- Pairing is shown on the M200 during pairing, and Completed is shown after the pairing is done.
OR
- On the M200, go to Settings > Pair & sync > Pair & sync devices, and press and hold the RIGHT button.
- M200 starts searching for your scale. Searching is displayed on the M200.
- Step on the scale. The scale display shows your weight.
- After a beep sound, the Bluetooth icon on the scale display starts flashing, meaning that the connection is now on.
- Pairing is shown on the M200 during pairing, and Completed is shown after the pairing is done.
The scale can be paired with 7 different Polar devices. When the number of paired devices exceeds 7, the first pairing will be removed and replaced.
Remove pairings
Removing pairings according to the following instructions will remove ALL pairings with sensors and mobile devices.
If you have problems syncing your M200 with your mobile device, or if you can't get your heart rate reading from a paired heart rate sensor with a chest strap, you can try to fix the connection by removing the existing pairings and pairing the devices again.
